  • Hamer Guitars was founded in 1973 by Bo Hamer and Jol Dantzig in Illinois, USA, focusing on high-quality, handmade instruments. Hamer was acquired by Kaman Music Corporation in 1988, and then by Fender Musical Instruments in 2007. Fender eventually discontinued Hamer guitar production in December 2012. In 2017, Kaman Music Corporation (owned by Jam Industries) announced the reintroduction of imported Hamer guitars at the NAMM show, marking a return for the brand.
