Fender Custom Shop 2010 Limited Snakehead Serial SH01 Olympic White

About This Listing

#SH01 of 60 made! This guitar was presented to George Fullerton’s family by Fender after he passed away in 2010. George had helped Fender recreate the original Snakehead Custom Nocaster Vintage Tele Single coil prototype pickup for this run and his story about the telecaster is also included in the case candy that comes with this guitar!

On September 17th 2011, George’s son Jeff consigned #SH01 at Buffalo Brothers Guitars in Carlsbad CA. At the time they were the top G&L dealer in the world and Jeff was selling several other of George’s guitars there as well. I worked there and arranged to have the guitar sold to a very good client that very day…

I acquired it about 5 years ago now and only show it on occasion. It has never been played and is as new. All case candy etc. is in the case. The case has a few small dings. This is a very important guitar!

Body is 100 year old pine wood, and there is no trus rod in the single piece hard rock maple neck.

5.95 pounds

Nitrocellulose lacquer finish

25.5 scale
7.25 radius
21 frets

About This Listing

The infamous Fender Custom Shop Snakehead Telecaster! #1 of 60! 100-year-old pine; weighs in at 5.9 spankin’ crankin’ lbs.

The Snakehead; where it all began! Squared-off headstock and ready to rock; pre-Fender sticker era. The prototype! Here we have #1, the first of the replica run of the guitar originally released in 1946 that would ultimately become the world-famous iconic Telecaster.

The back of the headstock features the signature of George Fullerton, Leo Fender’s main man, who had a huge hand in creating the tele.

Take hold the old-school nitro-cellulose chunky v-carve-style neck and grab a piece of rock n’ roll history!
